Guardian Eco Pulse: the 2026 pool heat pump, now on pre-order
The Eco Pulse Series replaces the Eco Pro. Better coefficient of performance, quieter, lighter, and the same price as the model it replaces.
Guardian's first container lands in Brisbane in mid November 2026. We are taking pre-orders now and Guardian fill them in the order they are placed, so an order today holds you a unit from the first shipment.

Prices include GST. Winter COP is at 15C air and 26C water, which is the condition that matters for extending the season in Australia. Guardian RRP is higher on every model; the saving shows on each product page.
If you were quoted a GE-20, read this
The Eco Pro GE-20 is replaced by the Eco Pulse 19, not by a 20kW model. Rated output goes from 20 kW to 18.9 kW. The price does not change. In exchange, winter COP rises from 6.9 to 7.83, so it draws less power to hold the same temperature, and it is 10 kg lighter. For most pools that is a better unit, but if you were quoted on the GE-20 figure it is worth a conversation before you order.

Guardian describe the Eco Pulse as a direct continuance of the Eco Pro with improvements in COP and a reduction in size and weight. Comparing their own spec sheets, that holds up:

Being straight about it: summer heating capacity is marginally lower on some models (the 16kW is rated 15.39 kW, the 35kW is 34 kW). The efficiency gain is real and it is where the running cost sits, but it is not a bigger heater.

| What happens to my Eco Pro order? | Guardian switch existing Eco Pro orders to the equivalent Eco Pulse automatically. Eco Pro stock is nearly gone, with only the 9kW and 12kW left at last check. |
| Is it the same price? | Yes. Guardian have priced the Eco Pulse the same as the Eco Pro it replaces, size for size, including the GE-20 to Eco Pulse 19 swap. |
| Do I need the Heat Connect? | Not strictly, but a heat pump only transfers heat while water is moving. Heat Connect makes the filtration pump follow the heat pump so you are not matching two timers by hand. |
| Can it cool the pool? | Yes, every model is reverse cycle. Cooling capacity and EER are on each product page. |
| What about the Platinum range? | Guardian have made the Platinum Series end of life, replaced in 2027. We still have Platinum stock listed while it lasts. |
